The Executive Committee shall have authority to act on behalf of the WIB between the meetings of the WIB and on matters designated to the Executive Committee by the full WIB. The Executive Committee meets and makes decisions on time sensitive issues that need to be settled between regularly scheduled WIB meetings. Actions taken by the Executive Committee on behalf of the full WIB must be presented to the full WIB at the next regularly scheduled meeting. The full WIB will either ratify the actions taken by the Executive Committee or overturn the actions of the Executive Committee if the full WIB is not in agreement. In the event that the full WIB does not agree with actions taken by the Executive Committee, the decisions and recommended actions of the full WIB will be implemented within the local area and the decision(s) of the Executive Committee will be rescinded.

The Executive Committee will assist the Chairperson in the administration of the WIB, make recommendations on policy matters, evaluate the functions of the WIB, and make recommendations for effective coordination of all Workforce Investment Act programs and services. The Executive Committee will also focus the viewpoints and findings of all the committees on the development of the plans.
