Committees

  • Executive Committee
    The Executive Committee meets and makes decisions on time sensitive issues that need to be settled betweejn regularly scheduled SCWIB Board meetings. Action items taken by the Executive Committee are presented to the SCWIB Board at the next scheduled Board meeting.
  • The Executive Committee assists the Chairperson in the administration of the SCWIB, makes recommendations on policy matters and evaluates the functions of the operations. They also review and advance the findings of the committees to the SCWIB Board. › Learn More
  • Admin / Finance Committee
    The Administration/Finance Committee oversees management, membership, budget negotiation and finance review. It also handles such other duties as may be assigned by the Chair.

  • Youth Council
    The Youth Council shall develop the portions of the local plan relating to eligible youth. It shall recommend the eligible providers of youth activities, and conduct oversight with respect to the eligible providers of youth activities in the local area. The Youth Council shall have such other duties and conduct such other activities as the SCWIB or the Act may require.

  • Local Management Committee
    The Local Management Committee is responsible for direct oversight and coordination of programs that are funded through the Department of Public Welfare. These programs offer welfare to work activities and services to individuals identified and solely referred by the local County Assistance Offices. The committee is also required to procure for these programs that are constructed to adhere to both State and Federal guidelines. › Learn More
  • Operators Consortium Committee
    The Operator Consortium Committee provides oversight and guidance for the operation of the local PA Careerlink system. The Operator Consortium Committee further responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and continually review service delivery structures for each of the individual PA Careerlink sites in the South Central Workforce Investment Area.                    › Learn More
  • Healthcare Committee
    The Committee is comprised of various employers throughout our eight county region from the Healthcare Industry. The members meet to discuss the ever changing needs in the Healthcare Industry and share best practices. In addition, the committee is tasked with seeking additional opportunities for funding that support incumbent and new hire training for the partnership. › Learn More
  • Program Development Committee
    The Program Development Committee develops ideas for programs, issues requests for proposals, reviews proposal and makes committee recommendations for the SCWIB. It reviews training providers and establishes individual training accounts. The Program Development Committee further develops procedures and eligibility for training and oversight of the local programs of the Youth Council, local employment and training activities and the One-Stop delivery systems.
